Butch smiled at my giggle, but then frowned and casted his eyes to the ground. “Butch, are you okay?” I asked moving to put my hand on his shoulder. He looked up at me and tried to smile, but I could see that it was forced. “I’m going to have to cut are outing short Karou, I hope you can forgive me.” He said with his eyes shining with sadness and guilt. “I’m okay with that Butch and I know you need to go have a talk with your brothers.” I said with a genuine smile on my face as I place a hand on his shoulder as a sign of support. He returns my smile and kisses me on the cheek before he takes off into the sky; I wave bye to him till he’s out of sight.

I lower my hand and drop my smile, all I could think about was what Brick was about to say before Butch punched him. What was the secret that made him have such an angry face over, was it just him being a Rowdy Ruff Boy; no that wasn’t it everyone and their mother knew that story. The more I thought about it the more my stomach turned in knots, so I shook my head and headed on to the arcade. I will not get sick over something I don’t know, so I just pushed it to the back of my mind till I can talk to Butch again.

I had been at the arcade for a few hours now and I was getting bored, just as I was about to leave I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turn around to find Butch there with a few bruises on his face. My worry must of shown on my face cause he patted my head and said “Don’t worry these are nothing to worry over just a scuffle between brothers.” Then he smiled but it looked more like a grimace. I returned the smile and gave him an awkward hug, what with my crutch and all. He returned it while given a chuckle, “Butch what made this happen, was it all over that secret?” I asked with confusion shining in my eyes. Butch tensed up then tried to relax with some deep breaths. “Kaoru I know that you want to know my secret but it’s a little hard to word it.” He said with a sigh, I knew I should just tell him it’s okay he doesn’t have to tell me but I really wanted to know. “Butch, the only advice I can give you is to just say it not think about how it’ll sound let it all out I know that venting makes me feel better.” I say as I look into his eyes. “You may be right, I’ll tell you but I want to go to a place where I know no one else will hear it.” He said as he returned my gaze. I nodded my head and we headed out of the building.

We arrived at a hill outside of town, Butch took a few calming breaths before turning to face me. “Kaoru, what I’m about to tell you can never leave this spot.” He says with a serious expression; I nod my head yes and he gives a small smile. “Okay the secret is this I’m really freaking scared of accidental killing someone with my powers, that’s why I don’t ruff house with anyone other than my brothers. That’s also why you don’t see me with anyone else but them. So please don’t be scared of me please.” He said with a really worried and flustered face; I lean closer to him and put one of my hands on his cheek. “I think that is a honorable thing to worry about, and I’m happy that you trust me with this that I know you won’t ever kill anyone so I feel complete safe and secure around you.” I say with a sincere smile on my face. He blushes then smiles at me too, when I’m about to remove my hand from his cheek he puts his hand over it and leans forward till we’re inches apart. Then he closes the gap between our lips in a sweet gentle kiss that I never want to end.
